One of Highlands' oldest residences, Hutchinson House is a four bedroom farmhouse nestled among in an enchanting wooded setting that includes nature walks, natural water features, gazebos, grassy lawns, a "tree walk" and several garden spaces. Built in 1878 by one of Highlands two founders, this historic property is located one block east of Main St from Old Edwards Inn and Spa, providing guests with walking access to all shopping, dining and culture that Highlands has to offer. Rockwood Lodge is a vast family estate located approximately 15-20 minutes from Highlands off of Dillard Road. Designed in the mountain vernacular with beautiful wood and stone, Rockwood Lodge features eight bedrooms and multiple gathering areas indoors and out, and chefs' kitchen with a large center island for entertaining. The home sits atop 350 acres of rolling hills that are rich with history, heritage, trails, and trout lakes. The spectacular mountaintop setting is one of the highest peaks in town, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
