What: American Art Today: Figures
This prestigious, juried exhibition features two-dimentional and sculptural works of approximately 50 artists from across the nation. The Theme for the exhibition is Figures. This year's juror is Jonathan Stuhlman, Curator of the American Art at the Mint Museum of Art in Charlotte.

This year's featured potters for the annual clay symposium. The Three Potters are three of the most well known poteers in America: Cynthia Bringle, Michael Sherrill, and Ron Meyers. For an extended period of time, a collection of their works will be on display. Call 828-526-4949.

What: Dazzling Dahlia Festival
This event, benefiting the Highlands Historical Society, will showcase local Dahlia Ethusiasts' prize winning dahlias. Exhibitors can enter as many as 6 catagories of Dahlias for a small entrance fee. The Dahilas will be judged and ribbons awarded for the first, second, and Best of Show Winners. Exhibitor registration forms will be available at businesses throughtout the Highlands-Cashiers Area, and at the Highlands Historical Society. What: Laurel Garden Club Kitchen Tour
The Laurel Garden Club will host a tour of six kitchens 9am-5pm. Shuttles will transport guest from the Martin Lipscomb Performing Arts Center every 30 mins from 9am until 2pm. Tickets are now available online. The Garden Club will also host small intimate culinary events during week prior to the tours on the 16th, 17th, and 20th.
